All of our paving stone products can be tailored to the customer’s budget, needs and desires. Each of our projects will be done with professionalism, creativity, honesty and high quality craftsmanship. Getting Started: When it comes to considering install a patio outdoor living space, one of the most important decisions is the size. Here are some questions which will help determine your patio size: Are you going to use your patio for family dining / entertaining? Would you like some areas for relaxing in your backyard with some lounge chairs? Will there be any such outdoor kitchen, barbecue, fire pit / fireplace, hot tub, and so forth. Now you have an idea what size of a patio you want. Next, what is the elevation of the patio? Will it be a ground level patio or a raised patio? Then, what kind of materials will be used, concrete paver, brick paver or natural stone paver? What other features are included? Seat wall (free-standing wall), a pergola, or planters? About Paver Materials: Pavers are available in concrete pavers, brick pavers, and many other natural stone pavers such as granite, travertine, bluestones, sandstone, lime stone and marble. The type of pavers you choose determines cost of materials and installation because they differ in application, design, technical standards and more. Pavers are a practical yet attractive option anywhere on the property and also stand up to harsh weather better than poured concrete, stamped concrete or asphalt. Pavers are much higher density than poured concrete or asphalt and the interlocking technology has greater load bearing capacity. Pavers have the advantage of being flexible and allow for movement because pavers have joints that can expand and contract when the ground freezes, also withstand the high heat of summer. The joints serve to relieve pressure and that will not crack as poured concrete slabs or wreck asphalt frequently do. Pavers are virtually maintenance-free and do not need to be regularly sealed or replaced. If a repair ever does become necessary, stained or broken pavers can be easily replaced without ugly patches. Ground-Patio: A patio which is built directly resting on the ground and the exit to the outdoor space are often at the same level. Optional seat walls can be added to the patio. Seat walls are both functional and aesthetic. Whether the patio is curved, straight, or a combination, installing patio seat walls are a wonderful architectural element. A ground-patio is cost less than a raised-patio if average cost materials are used and no side walls and steps are needed. Raised-Patio: As with the traditional ground level patio, a raised-patio is built with stone walls or block wall materials. It can be raised several feet off the ground like a traditional wooden deck. A raised-patio can range from a virtual open outdoor room with a walk-out on the same level as the main floor of the house, or can take the form of a smaller stand-alone elevated patio in a more private and secluded area in the back yard. A raised patios can be ideal for a house with a sloping back yard because the elevated design will convert hard-to-utilize gradient space in the yard into a level and functional extension of the home, whether it is an attached or detached design. Polymeric Sand For Pavement Joints (optional): Polymeric Sand For Pavement Joints is a high-tech mix of graded sand and binder, specially formulated for the filling of narrow or wide joints when installing pavers or slabs, or when replacing existing joints. Unlike conventional sand, it stays in place and remains stable; this is why it effectively resists erosion caused by water, frost, and wind. In addition, it prevents insect infestation and inhibits weed growth. It stabilizes all horizontal surfaces and sloped work. It softens when it is wet and firms up when it dries to better resist soil movements. It helps keep the surroundings clean by preventing joint sand from getting into the house or pool.
